B Is there anything that you don't understand after you have solved the problem?
Thinking:Oil spill is a disastrous incident that affects the environment,human,aquatic plants and animals. It also indirectly affects the economy industry as the aquatic lives in the sea are harmed.Hence,we must prevent the incident of oil spillage. Through this case 4, I also learnt about the methods of clening up oil spillage.
ReplyDeleteFeeling: I felt that we should do preventive measures to prevent this incident form happening as it cause many inconvinience and the process of cleanig up is very troblesome and cosy.
B: Nothing remains unresolved.
Thinking : Even though we can clear the oil but some of the effects still remains.I think,we should find and recommend methods to prevent such situation too.Prevention is better than cure.

thinking: oil spills is very dangerous. it cannot be prevented because it is mainly caused by incident and usually unpredictable to happen. what most important thing is the way to clean up all the mess in the ocean. the way must be effectively can save the sea and more over the aquatic life.
ReplyDeletefeeling: this case is quite complicated when it asked about the method to clean oil spoil. the method cannot be created but must have a strong proof and facts.

ReplyDeletethinking:this happens so unpredictable and the oil spill cause a lot of problems to the marine life, and also affect almost all living things mainly the sea animals. so prevention must be strictly done. but in case of this thing is already happening, we should cure it, the oil spill need to be move out from the sea so that aquatic life are not effected.
feeling:feel so excited to solve this problem as it is a big problems which can cause marine life to die and it also effect to human.

ReplyDeleteOil spills is actually a harmful man- made phenomenon which can be prevented if safety measures are taken before ships go sailing. If not prevented, many aquatic animals will be harmed and killed for no significant reasons. I think that the major problem that will arise from oil spills is the interruption of food chains. Not only aquatic animals get affected, but also other animals like birds, bears and etc. N if it happens, human beings are actually the primary destroyer of the nature... :(

Happy to have completed all the tasks given successfully...Back to focusing on AS level examination now.. n I really hope that all the issues learnt from PBL can be applied somewhere, wherever n whenever necessary~ :D

Feeling: for case 4, im really happy because i have solved all the problems it needs me more focussing and also more relating the case with biology.

ReplyDeleteThinking: oil spill can really cause many horrible consequences to not only marine life,but also land animals as well as humans.Being a student however ,we are often not aware of this and simply don't bother,after all , it is the sea,how often do we look at one..but,it affects us in many ways.Therefore, is it truly important that many precautionary steps are taken and law are enforced to prevent this kind of horrible accidents from happening.
Feeling:Even with all the different methods of clearing the oil spills,each method have its pros and cons.While clearly,'prevention is better than cure' ..Really glad that is finally over,at least for this semester...

Thinking : Oil spill is one of the worst environmental disaster. It can cause severe damage to the environment as well as the organisms living in it.That is why the authorities must make sure that every precautions have been taken in order to prevent this disaster from happening.

thinking:it is a good idea to be a marine biologist as we, a normal person doesn't really care about the method how to clear an oil spill before this.

THINKING:i think the task about the oil spill is very good because from this task, i learn that oil spill can cause many harmful effects to human, environment,animals, economy and many more.so, we should avoid the oil from spilling either in the ocean or on land.

thinking: this oil spill problem is not a new problem.the environmentalist had discussed this issues for a long time ago. the main cause for this oil spill is that the ship company itself. they should give more concern towards their ship and responsible while sailing through the ocean. i think that they should realize the important for maintaining the conditions of the oil tanker and the pathway of the sailing. this is beause, oil spill may happen if the is a collision between the ships which may affect the environment..this is my opinion..

ReplyDeletethinking : from this case, i think that many bad consequences due to oil spills such as lead to water pollution and effects to the marine life.Hence, we should take the precaution steps to reduce this problem.
feeling : so excited bcoz finally we finished pbl that quite good to boost our soft skills including thinking skills and performances.

ReplyDeletewhile doing this assignment, i wonder why human cannot control this oil spill phenomenon. i think after doing this presentation, my classmate and i will be exposed more on this phenomenaon and the solution to oil spill in the ocean.
Feeling: this is a tough case for our group as the contents must be factual and based on scientific concept.
so far , i have no question linger in my mind.. thank you.

ReplyDeletenow i am as a marine biologist. all i can say, my knowledge and vocabulary had been broaden some more with all the things like boom, skimmer, sorbent, dispersant and so on. it's great!!

finally we've completed all the four cases successfully.

ReplyDeleteThis case got me thinking... "Is the seafood we eat safe?". We can't be too sure bout it, can we?

Nauseous when I imagine my sushi or ikan bakar contaminated with poison.
